GREENCASTLE – The annual Light-It-Up Contest, a community fundraising tradition, has officially begun, featuring 17 dazzling displays vying for bragging rights and a festive trophy. The competition, sponsored by The Manitowoc Co., benefits the Greencastle-Antrim Food Pantry.
Residents and businesses across Greencastle have illuminated their properties, turning the borough into a spectacle of holiday cheer. The displays are marked with signage identifying them as contestants in the charitable event.

Voting is now underway and will continue through Sunday, Dec. 21. Each vote costs $1, with all proceeds directly supporting the food pantry. The contestant with the highest total votes will receive a special trophy, in addition to awards given to winners in each category. Winners will be announced before Christmas.
Votes can be cast online at the event’s business link. In-person votes are also accepted at the G-A Chamber office or by calling 717-597-4610. The public may also vote at the Holiday House during Heritage Christmas in the Square on Dec. 6 and 13.
