SMITHSBURG – Smithburg had nine players score points as the Leopards moved to 12-0 with a 73-32 win over Clear Spring.
Skyla Mastronardi led the three double-figure scorers with 15 points, while Jayda Tyler added 14 and Claire Bono had 13. Matronardi and Bono each collected three 3-point baskets.
The Leopards collected assists on 22 of the 30 baskets they scored. Bono and Jenna Todd had five each, while Mastronardi had four and Reagan Furajter added three.
Zoe Shuster collected eight rebounds and Mastronardi had four steals.
Oakdale 68, South Hagerstown 23
Aniyah Freeman scored seven points with six rebounds to lead South Hagerstown in a loss to Oakdale.
Freeman also had four blocked shots and four steals.
Khloe Terralonge and Diamond Lloyd each added six points for the Rebels. Terralonge had four steals and two rebounds.
Ava Brown led Oakdale with 18 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
South Hagerstown 72, Urbana 59
Avery Cosley scored 17 points to lead five Rebels players in double figures in a win over Urbana.
Cosley rounded out his game with eight rebounds and six assists.
Luke Leisinger, DJ Wade and Nygil Jefferies each scored 12 points for South while Nazier Mitchell added 11.
The Rebel won their second straight game, riding the wave of Jan. 9’s victory over Smithsburg on Leo Sklencar’s last-second 3-pointer, to even their record at 5-5.
