GREENCASTLE—The 40th annual Waynesboro Area Gala Cancer Auction will be held Saturday, April 9, at Green Grove Gardens and the items available are online for preview beginning today.
“All the items, reasonably-sized ones, are dropped off at my house, and then I enter all the solicitor, donor and item information into our auction tracker (database),” explained Mick Beck, a member of the steering committee. “WAGCA will accept items up to two days before the auction. Cash and check donations are also welcome.
Those wishing to donate may contact Beck at 717-762-0285. Items received after March 5 will be included on an addendum available the day of the auction.
Over the past 40 years, the group has raised $2.5 million for cancer programs.
The 2022 Waynesboro Area Gala Cancer Auction will be held Saturday, April 9, at Green Grove Gardens, 1032 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle. Doors open at 3 p.m., the silent auction begins at 4 p.m., and live bidding starts at 5:30 p.m.; admission is free.
