CHAMBERSBURG – Lisa Helm was sworn in as Franklin County treasurer during a ceremony this week celebrating her start in the county role.
State Sen. Doug Mastriano (R-33) joined local officials in marking the occasion, praising Helm for her dedication, integrity and commitment to public service.
Helm, of Shippensburg, has a background in county government, previously serving as the director of audits in the Franklin County controller’s office and as the tax collector for the Borough of Shippensburg.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg University and also works for the senate of Pennsylvania as a field representative specializing in grants.
Helm lives in Shippensburg with her husband, Travis, and their youngest daughter, Faith, a student at Shalom Christian Academy. She attends the Shippensburg Campus of Grand Point Church.
