Happy Independence Day! Today, we celebrate the day our founding fathers declared independence from the king and rule of England. It’s a day of cookouts, family fun, and traditional fireworks. If you’re looking for fireworks, here are some of the events happening in the area:
- Waynesboro Summer Jubilee: This all-day event takes place on July 4 it includes the FireCracker 5K Race w/ 1 Mile Kid’s Fun Run, Independence Day Parade, fun and games, bounce houses, live music and entertainment, great food and craft vendors, and a huge fireworks display at dusk.
- Independence Day Festival in Chambersburg: The Chambersburg Recreation Department will host this festival at Memorial Park on July 4 from 4-10 p.m. There will be food, refreshments, and fun for all ages, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
