GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A Franklin County retailer sold a Pennsylvania Lottery scratch-off ticket this week worth $1 million a year for life, state officials said.
The winning ticket was purchased at The Martins, located at 500 N. Antrim Way in Greencastle Borough. The store will receive a $100,000 bonus for selling the top-prize ticket, according to the Pennsylvania Lottery.
The ticket was part of the “$1,000,000 a Year for Life” scratch-off game, which costs $50 to play. The game’s top prize offers winners the choice between receiving $1 million annually for life or a one-time cash payout of $14.5 million.
Lottery officials did not release information about the winner.
Players are reminded that scratch-off tickets expire one year after the game’s official end-sale date, which is listed on the Pennsylvania Lottery website. Officials also advise winners to sign the back of their tickets immediately to establish ownership.
More information about the game, including prize details and remaining tickets, is available through the Pennsylvania Lottery.
