In a remarkable display of skill and teamwork, the Greencastle-Antrim Indoor Guard took first place in the Scholastic A division at the recent Keystone Indoor Drill Association competition held at New Oxford High School in New Oxford, Pennsylvania.
The KIDA competition, which includes units from Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia and the Washington, D.C., metro area, offers a platform for participants to compete in five disciplines: percussion, color guard, winds, majorettes and dance teams. The association emphasizes education, sportsmanship and professionalism, fostering an atmosphere conducive to clean competition and mutual respect among units.
Greencastle-Antrim’s victory reflects technical prowess and the values promoted by KIDA. As the season progresses, the team will continue to face strong competition, culminating in the KIDA Color Guard Championships on March 29 in Chambersburg.
