Any time Waynesboro and Greencastle-Antrim meet on the baseball field, you can throw out the records and expect a dogfight.
Fans should expect nothing less when the Blue Devils invade Waynesboro on Thursday, although it is worth noting that both squads come into this contest with excellent records. Greencastle is undefeated through four games, while the Tribe have lost just once in five outings.
Both of these teams have designs to contend for the Mid-Penn Colonial Division and postseason glory, and a rivalry win here would go a long way toward reaching those goals. We’ve selected this matchup as our Game of the Week.
In the weeks and months to come throughout the high school sports season, we plan on spotlighting multiple teams and sports with our Game of the Week. Any big upcoming contests we should know about? Send suggestions to Andy Sandrik via email at [email protected].
