Every girls soccer team in the Mid-Penn Colonial Division — and all of District 3-3A for that matter — wants a piece of the West Perry Mustangs.
The Mustangs have come surging out of the gates to open the season with eight wins over their first 10 games. Thanks to the fast start, West Perry will be getting nothing but the best from every opponent it takes the field against.
On Saturday night, it’s Greencastle-Antrim’s turn to take a shot at the mighty Mustangs in a contest we’ve selected as our Game of the Week.
The Blue Devils, anchored by a defense that is allowing 0.86 goals per game, are off to a winning start this fall and have been competitive with some of the top teams in the district. There are a lot of good things going for Greencastle, but make no mistake, the Blue Devils will be the underdogs when they welcome West Perry to Kaley Field.
The high-powered Mustangs are led by the explosive Jalinn Kell, who will be aiming to make Greencastle her next hat-trick victim.

West Perry at Greencastle-Antrim
Kickoff: Saturday, 7 p.m., at Greencastle-Antrim
Records: The Mustangs check in at 8-1-1 (4-1 Colonial), while the Blue Devils enter at 3-2-2 (1-1-2).
Last game: West Perry squeezed past Waynesboro, 3-2, while Greencastle-Antrim is coming off a 0-0 draw with Shippensburg.
Last meeting: The Blue Devils edged the Mustangs twice in division play last season, winning by scores of 1-0 and 3-2.
Meet the Mustangs: Led by Jalinn Kell, one of the most dangerous scorers in the Colonial Division, West Perry has clearly established itself as a District 3-3A contender … An All-Colonial Second Teamer in 2025, Kell has taken her game to the next level this fall. The senior midfielder/forward owns multiple hat tricks, one of which she scored earlier this week in a win over Boiling Springs … With Kell fueling the machine, West Perry has outscored opponents 31-11 and ranks No. 5 in the district power rankings … The Mustangs own notable wins over Middletown (3-1) and Shippensburg (3-0), two squads that rank No. 12 and 13 in the district, respectively, and have also defeated a couple of programs that have winning records in Big Spring (5-4) and East Juniata (2-0) … Coach Tom Smeigh’s team suffered its first loss on Sept. 17, falling 4-0 to Gettysburg, the No. 10-ranked team in the district … West Perry is especially strong in the midfield, where it returns division First Teamer Maggie Morrison and Third Teamer Kendyl Chubb, and another solid player in Alyssa Morret … If Greencastle-Antrim can get past the midfield, the Blue Devils will then face a stiff challenge against the WP defense and goalkeeper Sage Miller. Coming off a freshman season that earned her Second Team honors in the Colonial, Miller already has three shutouts to her name this fall.
Meet the Blue Devils: If there was ever a team that could use a big upset over a district power, it’s Greencastle, a squad that is still on the outside looking in for the 16-team District 3-3A playoff field … The Blue Devils have a winning record and have outscored their opponents, 22-6, but only check in at No. 18 in the district power rankings … Coach Jonathan Lewis’ girls come into this contest on a two-game points streak thanks to scoreless draws against Middletown and Shippensburg, two squads that rank Top 15 in the district … Greencastle gets the job done with defense, as the Blue Devils have kept five of their seven opponents off the scoreboard … Defenders Ava Cottrell and Jaylyn Lewis, both All-Colonial Third Team selections in 2025, have been pillars on the back line … Chloe Parks and Braelyn Cordell both play midfield and forward, and combine for 50 percent of Greencastle’s offense … Parks leads the Blue Devils with seven goals, which includes a hat trick in a win over Waynesboro, and ranks No. 2 with three assists … Cordell, a two-time All-Colonial Second Teamer, has posted a team-best five assists, to go along with 4 goals … The standout play of Parks and Cordell has opened up scoring opportunities for several teammates who have cracked the points column: Ava Witmer (4 goals), Sadie Burns (2 goals, 2 assists), Lily Black (goal, 2 assists), Daisy Black (goal), Avery Russell (goal), Adele Davidson (goal), Lilah Overcash (2 assists), Cottrell (assist), and Arianna Lewis (assist).
