FREDERICK – Gambrill State Park is calling for community members to help shape the landscape during a Volunteer Trail Work Day scheduled for Dec. 20.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Rock Run Area of the park, located at 8002 Gambrill Park Road. Participants will work alongside a crew to construct a brand-new trail, contributing to the park’s growing network of outdoor recreation paths.
Organizers are encouraging volunteers of all skill levels to join the effort. The Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Maryland Park Service are hosting the event as part of their ongoing commitment to park maintenance and community engagement.
Those interested in participating are asked to sign up in advance through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources website under the “special events” section. A QR code for registration is also available on official event flyers.
