WAYNESBORO – Gallery 50 hosts an opening reception for a new art exhibition, “Spring into Summer” on Friday, May 9, from 5:30–8 p.m. at 50 W. Main St. in downtown Waynesboro. The evening will showcase the new artwork and include free refreshments in addition to live jazz from the Ken Jankura Trio in the adjacent Music Makers space.
The 12 featured area artists are Joan Carroll, Donna Crow, Anne Finucane, Seth Holmes, Katrina Hoopes, Roberta Iula, Robyn Jacobs, Leslie McEntire, Sandra Schuster, Geoffrey Thulin, Amélie Lavenant-Wink and Gallery 50 curator Marti Yeager.
These talented artists bring different styles and highlight various subjects all relating to spring or summer. The featured works cover a mix of media—oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, and photography—which all spotlight these colorful and lively seasons in unique ways.
The gallery will also have new fine art and crafts by local artists available on the shelves: pottery, wood carvings, jewelry, stained glass art, and more.
Following the reception, the exhibit will be on display through August 2, 2025. Gallery 50 is open Fridays from 5–8 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The exhibit will soon be available to browse and purchase on the gallery’s online shop at www.gallery50-aagw.square.site
Gallery 50 is also hosting a Spring Raffle, with an artwork prize donated by artist Sandra Schuster. Entitled “Sky in Summer,” the work is an original acrylic painting, measuring 24 by 30 inches. All proceeds support Gallery 50 and the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. Raffle tickets can be purchased online or in-person at the gallery through Saturday, June 28 when the drawing takes place.
Gallery 50 is owned and operated by the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro and spotlights fine art and high-quality crafts from local artists and artisans.
