CHAMBERSBURG – Chambersburg residents in need of a hot meal will find a full schedule of free community breakfasts, lunches and dinners available throughout February 2026, thanks to the ongoing efforts of local churches, nonprofits and Keystone Health.
The monthly calendar, distributed by Keystone Health, highlights nearly daily opportunities for free meals at multiple locations in and around downtown Chambersburg. Regular weekday service is anchored by the Salvation Army at 159 Lincoln Way W., which offers free meals from 7 to 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. to noon on most Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. On many Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Cedar Street Mennonite Church, 430 Cedar St., hosts an evening meal that typically begins serving at 4:30 p.m. The calendar notes that dates and times are subject to change and encourages residents to call ahead to confirm availability.
Thursday mornings feature breakfast at The Taz at 642 Lincoln Way W., which serves from 7 to 9 a.m. on several dates during the month. Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and First United Methodist Church also appear on the February schedule with meal times listed on select Thursdays and Fridays. On Saturdays, St. Seraphim Orthodox Center, 213 Lincoln Way W., offers a free meal from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on multiple weekends. Falling Spring Presbyterian Church, 221 N. Main St., rounds out the month with a Sunday afternoon community meal at 3:30 p.m. on several dates.
Keystone Health coordinates the printed calendar to gather the various weekly and monthly offerings into one resource for individuals and families who may be experiencing food insecurity. The calendar emphasizes that all community meals are free and open to anyone, unless otherwise noted, and that information is accurate as of publication but may change based on volunteer coverage and supplies. Residents with questions are directed to email [email protected] for more details about specific meal programs.
Organizers say the shared calendar helps reduce duplication, spreads out resources and makes it easier for people to find consistent help. With offerings spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner on different days, community leaders hope no one in Chambersburg will have to miss a meal during the winter months.
