Franklin Science and Technology Fair celebrates 41st year

WAYNESBORO – The 41st annual Franklin Science and Technology Fair took place April 4 and 5 at Waynesboro Area Middle School. The event, presented by the Franklin Science Fair Council, showcased projects from students across various age groups and scientific disciplines.

Project drop-off occurred Friday, April 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a public display and free science activities on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The awards ceremony took place Saturday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., with project clean-up and pick-up from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday hosted grand championship judging from 8 a.m. to noon with two guest speakers from Shippensburg University’s Science Department.

Award Winners

Primary Division (K-3)

  • Earth Science: Everleigh Rhoads, first place; Deacon Spidlell, second place.
