The Franklin/Fulton Drug & Alcohol Program, in partnership with The Betty Spoonhour Rideout Scholarship Foundation, will host “Answers That Work,” a free educational event focused on substance use and recovery.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Brownsville Church of God, located at 6390 Lincoln Way E, Fayetteville.
Open to individuals 16 and older, as well as parents and guardians, “Answers That Work” will cover several key topics:
- The short-term and long-term effects of substances on the body and mind.
- How to recognize an opioid overdose and the steps to take to save a life.
- Resources for local substance use help and recovery programs.
Attendees will also receive free Narcan (naloxone) to take home, and free snacks will be provided.
