CHAMBERSBURG – Students from the Franklin County Career and Technology Center earned top honors at the SkillsUSA National Championships, bringing home gold, silver and bronze medals in a show of exceptional skill and dedication.
Corey Moyer, representing the graphic communications program, won the gold medal in Graphic Communications. Danielle Herrold, Grace Shew and Jayce Smith, all part of the Career Pathways Team in landscaping and horticulture, secured silver medals. Braden Lehman earned the bronze medal in Job Skills Open, also representing the landscaping and horticulture program.

The students’ success was guided by instructors Bryan Hawbecker, graphic communications, and Dave Perry, landscaping and horticulture. Advisors Caitlin O’Donnell, Mallory Waltman and Steven Wilmot were recognized for their support, along with Roberta and Roy Johnston, who dedicated countless hours to practice and preparation.
The Franklin County CTC community gathered to celebrate the achievements and homecoming of their SkillsUSA champions, expressing pride in the students’ accomplishments and the dedication of their families, instructors and advisors.
