GETTYSBURG- Students from Franklin County Career and Tech (CareerTech) had the opportunity to showcase their skills and leadership potential at the recent SkillsUSA central region Leadership Conference held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Selected by their instructors for this prestigious event, the students immersed themselves in a day of learning and competition focused on personal, workplace, and technical skills.
In line with the conference’s theme of “No Limits,” the CareerTech team embraced the spirit of challenge and growth. They eagerly participated in workshops designed to enhance their leadership abilities, gaining valuable insights into effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving strategies.
Beyond the workshops, the students also had the opportunity to demonstrate their practical skills in a unique tricycle competition. Designed and constructed by CareerTech’s Mechatronics and Welding students, the tricycles provided a fun and engaging platform for showcasing driving skills and teamwork.
The CareerTech team’s dedication and hard work paid off, with all students receiving pins for completing the Leadership Award Questions. This recognition is a testament to their commitment to personal and professional development.
