CHAMBERSBURG – The Franklin County Bar Association welcomed two new members during its Admission Ceremony on Dec. 5.
The newly admitted members are Kimberly M. Jackson, of Murphy & Childers P.C., and Richard A. Mezza, of Franklin County Children and Youth Services.
The ceremony took place in Historic Courtroom One of the Franklin County Courthouse and featured remarks and words of advice from the Honorable Shawn D. Meyers, the Honorable Mary Beth Shank, Pennsylvania Bar Association President Kristen B. Hamilton, Franklin County Bar Association President John B. Keller and Young Lawyers Division Chair Rachel M. Hepp.
John B. Keller, President of the Franklin County Bar Association, said, “This is just such a great tradition. Every year, multiple generations of Franklin County practitioners, representatives of the PBA, family and friends come together to welcome our new members as they are admitted to the FCBA. Our friends from the PBA remind us annually that Franklin County’s ceremony is unique throughout the Commonwealth. This year is particularly unique as our friend from the PBA is none other than our Kristen B. Hamilton, Esq., the third PBA president to hail from Franklin County. We are excited that Attorneys Jackson and Mezza have joined the FCBA, and we look forward to their contributions and friendship.”
Rachel M. Hepp, chair of the Young Lawyers Division, added, “The YLD is honored to welcome our newest admittees each year at the celebrated Admissions Ceremony. I truly hope Attorney Jackson and Attorney Mezza feel the strong support of the Franklin County Bar Association as they begin this next chapter. Through the YLD, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with fellow new attorneys who understand the challenges and excitement of beginning a legal career. The YLD provides a meaningful opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and most importantly, give back to the community we serve.”
