CHAMBERSBURG – Franklin County commisioners will consider increases of $86,714 for two federally-funded bridge projects. Both are for the firm of Herbert, Rowland & Grubic Inc., the bridge contractor.
The first bridge is #130 on West King Street over Falling Spring Creek in Chambersburg. This would cover an increase to the scope of work, including environmental work and permitting. It also extends the completion time from Dec. 19 of this year to March 1, 2027. That budget amount is $39,107.
The second bridge is #131 on West King Street over Conocoheague Creek in Chambersburg. It also covers additional environmental tasks to the scope of work and, as with the first bridge, moves completion to March 2027.
The meeting will be at 10 a.m. at the county Administration Building, 272 N. Second St., Room 824.
