QUINCY- On Saturday, Oct. 11 the Traesure Apple Ranch held their first annual Dirty Boots Country Fun Fest to kick off their Autumn events for the year. The ranch is a family-owned apple orchard located on Route 997 just outside of Waynesboro.
The inaugural event featured a full day of family fun and entertainment which included local artisan vendors selling handmade jewelry, candles and scents, art crafts, and also a market selling apple cider, apple slushie floats, homemade milkshakes, and of course apples. Hot beverages were also available provided by the Rise beverage truck.
Fun activities were awaiting on every corner of the orchard. Art activities such as pumpkin painting, face painting, and build-your-own-scarecrow. Tractor rides and yard games like giant Jenga and corn hole. The Kidzmatter Family Farm set up a tent and fence where guests could get an opportunity to snuggle up with the goats and get their photo taken as a keepsake of the charming moment for what they call “goat-snuggling.”

For those seeking a fun challenge there was a corn maze to test your abilities to memorize the twists and turns, and those pesky dead ends and find your way out.
There was also live entertainment featuring the music of teenage sensation, George Tyner and the winners of the Dirty Boots Talent Contest, Eddie Johnson and Crash Acoustic.
If you missed out on the Dirty Boots Country Fun Fest, don’t fret. From now until November 1st, Traesure Apple Ranch will be holding their Fall Fest every Wednesday through Saturday that will continue to feature their corn maze with evening glow-in-the-dark challenges, the pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, apple picking, and their open cider shack for tasty treats.
The ranch is located at 8384 Anthony Highway in Waynesboro and is open for visits on Wed-Thurs 4pm-8pm, Friday from 4pm-9pm, and on Saturday 10am-9pm. For more information about the ranch and their upcoming events visit their website at: traesureappleranch.com
