GREENCASTLE — The Tayamentasachta Environmental Center will host its annual Apple Fest on Saturday, Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, which is located at 500 Leitersburg Street in Greencastle.
The event will feature a variety of activities for all ages, including a chicken barbecue, apple and cider from Tracey’s Orchard, apple butter, apple dumplings, local artisan and club displays, pumpkin decorating, face painting, scarecrow making, horse and wagon rides, and displays of antique tractors and engines.
Admission to the event is free and parking is available at G-A Elementary School.
The Tayamentasachta Environmental Center is a 45-acre working environmental center that hosts education programs for schools and organizations. It was formerly known as the Stover-Winger Farm and was listed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1979.
