CHAMBERSBURG – A $290,690 grant to provide emergency shelter, rehousing and homelessness prevention will be before Franklin County commissioners when they meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Room 824 of the county Administration Building.
South Central Community Action Program and Waynesboro Community and Human Services are the subrecipients requesting funding for the program. Each subrecipient will provide the dollar-for-dollar match for their grant requests.
Commissioners also will consider an agreement between the county and Women In Need for federal grant funds totaling $31,250. This grant will fund a portion of employee wages and benefits for an attorney in the district attorney’s office who handles cases of violence against women.
