CHAMBERSBURG – Downtown Chambersburg Inc. is rolling out two major fundraising events to support downtown revitalization: the 29th Annual CrabFeast and the Falling Spring Beer Fest, both set to bring the community together for food, drinks, and fun.
CrabFeast 2025: A cracking good time
The 29th Annual CrabFeast, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23, from 3 to 8 p.m. at AMVETS Post 224 Picnic Pavilion (750 Fifth Ave.), promises all-you-can-eat hardshell crabs, barbecue with all the fixings, beer, beverages, small games of chance and a live auction. The event will take place rain or shine.
Ticket options include $75 for adults, $20 for children ages 2–12, and $50 for takeout crabs (one dozen, pickup by 4:30 p.m.). Tickets are nearly sold out and available at ticketleap.events/tickets/downtownchambersburg/29th-crabfeast-2025. Sponsored by i360 Property Management, proceeds support Downtown Chambersburg Inc.’s revitalization efforts.
“CrabFeast is a beloved tradition that fuels our work to strengthen downtown,” said Sam Thrush, president of Downtown Chambersburg Inc. “We’re grateful for the community’s support and look forward to seeing everyone enjoying crabs for a great cause.”
Falling Spring Beer Fest: Sip and savor
The Falling Spring Beer Fest returns Saturday, Oct. 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Chambers Fort Park and nearby parking lots. Attendees can sample offerings from over 15 local and regional breweries and cideries, including GearHouse, Berg, Barrel House, Michaux, Rough Edges, Hidden Key, Cushwa, Atomic Dog and Screaming Bambino. New for 2025 are Whiskers Brewing, Hidden Stories, Tiny House Craft, Molly Pitcher, Nepenthe, Rotunda and Adroit Theory (VIP only).
VIP admission ($50, 3–7 p.m.) includes early access, an exclusive Adroit Theory tasting, a take-home pint glass and a koozie lanyard. General admission ($35, 4–7 p.m.) is also available. Tickets are on sale at eventeny.com/events/fallingspringbeerfest-21759.
Live music will fill the new Spring Street Amphitheater, with Big Chalk performing from 3:30 to 5 p.m. and Mockingbird from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Presented by the Stacy Mellott Group with Keller Williams Central PA, the event supports Downtown Chambersburg Inc.’s mission as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
“The Beer Fest is about celebrating community, local business, and creativity,” Thrush said. “Hosting it in Chambers Fort Park and the new amphitheater makes it a perfect way to enjoy fall in downtown Chambersburg.”
