CHAMBERSBURG – The Franklin County Visitors Bureau is seeking decorators for the 7th Annual Festival of Trees at the 11/30 Visitors Center. Last year, 72 trees and wreaths were on display in the lobby and the second floor Great Room of the 11/30 Visitors Center.
Readers may join FCVB and bring holiday cheer to Franklin County this year by picking a tree or wreath to decorate. FCVB provides the tree or wreath. From here, it is all about creativity and the holiday spirit. Festival of Trees is a great opportunity to promote a business or organization. FCVB has a variety of tree sizes and wreaths in variety of colors for decorators to select. Trees and wreaths are available on a first come, first serve basis. Readers may email [email protected]%20][email protected] or call 717-552-2977.
The 2025 event opens at 4 p.m. on Nov. 22, coinciding with the Chambersburg Christmas Parade and runs through Dec. 6 at noon. As always, admission to Festival of Trees is free. Throughout Festival of Trees, the public can bid to win one of the trees and wreaths via silent auction with all proceeds going to the Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance.
Visitors also vote for their favorite tree or wreath. The tree and wreath with the most votes win the People’s Choice. In 2024, funds raised reached $7,400.
Along with beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, the Cumberland Valley Model Railroad Club will display a holiday train exhibit in the lobby. FCVB will hold a coloring contest, have special appearance of the Grinch, and be a drop off for letters to Santa. Sharing the Heart of the Holiday, powered by Homeless Matters, is back to share a community focus on helping those in need throughout Franklin County.
