Rodeo Joe is a lovable, happy guy that really enjoys attention and snuggles. He is one of our long-term residents and has been with us since June 2024. He came in as a stray, so we don’t have a lot of information about him, but we believe he’s a 4-year-old terrier mix who is quite active and will need someone that can provide him with regular exercise. He loves to go out to the play yard! Rodeo Joe can be shy with some men, but once he knows them, he does seem to accept them. He did well with our tester cat here at the shelter, but we do recommend supervision with cats until they are acclimated to each other. Rodeo Joe may be too much for small children so an age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff. Could this sweet fellow be your new best four-legged friend? CVAS, 5051 Letterkenny Road West, Chambersburg, Kennel License #2090

Ophelia is a 9-year-old girl that was surrendered to the shelter when her owner was moving and could not take her with them. Ophelia is a bigger girl and could not reach her hind end to keep herself groomed. She unfortunately had severe matting on her back and needed to be shaved. Her previous owner stated that Ophelia did not use a litterbox very well, but Ophelia has not had any issues here at the shelter (it could have been she was not feeling very well due to the matting or maybe she just didn’t have the right kind of box). She is even free roaming in the employee restroom here at the shelter. She does need a larger, covered pan that she can comfortably use due to her size. Ophelia does like to play in her water dish! Ophelia has had senior bloodwork done and everything came back normal. She is a sweet girl that would love to have a second chance at a loving home!
