This week, the Cumberland Valley Business Alliance has a fun-filled week with lots of activities for all to enjoy.
To start, on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Franklin County Community Foundation will host a celebrating community investment event at the Waynesboro Country Club at 11000 Country Club Rd., Waynesboro.
This event will allow people to experience firsthand how grants help local nonprofits grow and strengthen Franklin County. People will also be able to hear stories of hope and community impact from the organizations that are making a difference every day.

On Friday, Oct. 10, and Saturday, the 11th, a pickleball tournament, Rally in the Valley, will be held at the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA on 570 E. McKinley St., Chambersburg.
The Chambersburg Chamber, in partnership with the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA will hold their 4th Annual Rally in the Valley Pickleball Tournament.

Check-in is 3:30-4:15 p.m., play begins at 4:30 pm
Mixed Doubles Under 50
Check-in is 4-4:45 p.m., play begins at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, October 11th:
Men’s and Women’s Doubles 50+
Check-in is 6:30-7:15 a.m., play begins at 7:30 a.m.
Men’s and Women’s Doubles Undeer 50
Check-in is 8:30-9:15 a.m., play begins at 9:30 a.m.
All of the funds raised will support local businesses through the Chambersburg Chamber, a nonprofit organization, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Chambersburg Memorial YMCA.
On that same day, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, the Mercy House will be hosting its second annual charity walk.
This family-friendly walking event will take place at the St. Paul United Methodist Church parking lot, 750 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, with registration opening at 9:30 a.m. Welcome remarks will start at 10 a.m., and the walk will start at 10:15 a.m. Participants can choose to walk however many laps they choose to around the half-mile course.
All participants will receive a walk T-shirt and healthy snacks and water. The walk will also feature prizes for participants and door prize drawings throughout the event.

Finally, every Sunday from 2-5 pm at Reid’s Winery Tasting Room and Cider House, 400 Baltimore St., Gettysburg, there will be an Open Mic and Jam session hosted by Frank Davis and Bobbie Flurie.
Those interested are invited to bring an instrument to showcase your talent! Only acoustic instruments are allowed.
