GREENCASTLE – A local financial institution is putting its support behind the revitalization of downtown Greencastle’s Town Hall Plaza with a significant five-figure contribution.
Patriot Federal Credit Union presented a $30,000 donation recently to fund the development of the project. The initiative is designed to create a fresh outdoor gathering space for residents and visitors in the heart of the borough.
During the check presentation, the mayor and members of the borough council expressed their gratitude by awarding Patriot FCU a Community Service Citation. The award recognizes the credit union’s ongoing dedication to local civic projects and its investment in the Greencastle area.
“We look forward to seeing the project move forward and its positive impact on the community,” Patriot FCU officials said in a statement following the ceremony.
The Town Hall Plaza is expected to serve as a central hub for community events, providing a dedicated area for public interaction and local engagement. Borough leaders indicated that the contribution from the credit union serves as a major milestone in bringing the architectural vision to life.
