CHAMBERSBURG – Local Small Business owner of Interstate Garage Doors, Marine Corps veteran, and lifelong resident of Franklin County, Dean Horst, wins seat for Franklin County Commissioner.
“We must preserve the Franklin County way of life so our children and grandchildren can stay and prosper here,” said Horst. As County Commissioner, I`ll work to keep taxes low, support our seniors and veterans, preserve our open space and farmland, and work with our local law enforcement agencies to crack down on deadly drugs that have taken the lives of too many of our residents.”
Horst graduated from Shalom Christian Academy in 1989. After graduation, he enlisted in the Marines and deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Desert Storm. After his honorable service in the Marines, he worked his way up at a small family-owned business and eventually took over ownership of Interstate Garage Doors in 2012. Thanks to his leadership and hard work, the company has since become the lead garage door company in the entire region.

As a Marine veteran and small business owner, on the day I’m sworn in, I’ll embrace taking on difficult issues, finding solutions, and working tirelessly for the people of Franklin County,” said Horst.
