WAYNESBORO – The Waynesboro Maidens Volleyball Booster Club brought excitement to the community this weekend with a three-day volleyball tournament featuring middle school and club teams from across the region.
The event kicked off Friday night with the “Friday Night Lights” Middle School Tournament, where 10 teams competed for top honors. Waynesboro Middle School emerged victorious in both JV and Varsity divisions, defeating Chambersburg and Mechanicsburg, respectively, to claim first place.
On Saturday, the action continued with the “Boro April Showers” Club Tournament, showcasing 14U and 15U teams from the tri-state area and beyond. Mission 4:10 Vision from Westminster, Md., secured first place in the 14U division, while Edge Elite 14U Gold from Greencastle, Pa., took second. In the 15U division, Edge Elite dominated with their Gold and Silver teams claiming first and second places.
The tournament concluded Sunday with more club volleyball action, capping off a weekend of intense competition and community spirit. The Booster Club’s efforts were praised for bringing together athletes and spectators for a celebration of volleyball excellence.
