CHAMBERSBURG – Kenneth C. Hock (R) won his re-election for mayor of Chambersburg Tuesday with 2,198 (51%) of the votes compared to John A. Scott III (D) who received 2,111 (49%).
For the mayor of Shippensburg, Shaun M. Rodgers (D), with his “restore the glory” campaign, claimed a decisive victory over Ryan Miracle (R). Rogers secured 219 (62%) of the votes compared to Miracle who received 126 (36%).
In other races, the unofficial poll results are in and here are the projected winners based on information from the Franklin County Board of Elections.
For Chambersburg Borough council, Austin Rosenbaum (R) collected 540 votes (54%) to defeat Shannon M. Jackson for the second ward, while Curtis N. Shoup (D) defeated Dom Brown (R) 367 (58%) to 255 (40%) in the third. Democrat Lucinda (Lu Ransom) Butler garnered 306 (54%) of the vote to Republican Stacy Short’s 248 at 44.13%.
In the race for Judge of the Superior Court, Maria Battista (R) was a decisive victory over Brandon Neuman (D) earning 64% of the votes compared to Neuman’s 36%. For the Judge of the Commonwealth, Matt Wolford (R) took 23,375 (65%) of the votes compared to Stella Tsai (D) who got 12,552 (35%).
Local school director results for the LocalNews1.org coverage area are also in. In a contest for four 4-year seats in the Greencastle-Antrim School District, Doug Shatzer (R) tallied 3,388 (27% of the votes) while Janon R. Gray (R) received 2,980 (24%), Eileen Dickinson (R) 3,057 (24%) and Rich Davis (R) who took 23% of the votes with 2,935. Voters in that contest were asked to cast ballots for fou
The 2-year seat race for the Greencastle-Antrim School District, Shannon S. Dunkle (R) earned 3,263 votes (51%), while Amber L. Rephann (R) took 3,008 (47%) for the two seats available.
In Waynesboro, the election of school directors went to Shane Harkins (R) with 1,248 (30%) of the votes, while Bradley Kiracofe received 1,055 (25%), Lindsay Weaver 2,568 (75%), Kimberly Miles 863 (52%) with four seats up for grabs.
For the Washington Township Supervisor race, C. Stewart McCleaf (R) secured 2,066 (49%) of the votes Barb McCracken (R) who received 1,982 (47%) in a race for two seats.
Republican Ron Harris gathered 847 votes in his unopposed re-election for Carroll Valley Mayoir in Adams County, while three other Republicans, Mike Kulkusky, David Lillard and Richard Mathews all won the three seats up for election on the borough council.
Also in Adams County, Republican Robert R. Stanley won the unopposed race for Fairview Mayor and Democrat Camille Cline handily won election to one of three borough council seats. Adams election officials noted 42 write-in votes were cast, and those results should be the winners of the other two seats. Write-in winners will not be announced until next Wednesday, they said.
