CHAMBERSBURG – The Chambersburg Community Theatre has announced its 71st season for 2025-2026, featuring a diverse lineup of beloved plays and musicals. The productions will be staged at the Capitol Theatre, with performances spanning from September 2025 to June 2026.
The season opens with “The Diary of Anne Frank,” a poignant adaptation of the young girl’s famous writings during the Holocaust. This production will run from Sept. 11-14 at the Capitol Theatre Wood Center, offering an intimate setting for this powerful story.
In October, audiences can enjoy a chilling classic just in time for Halloween. “Dracula,” adapted by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, will take the Capitol Theatre Main Stage from Oct. 24-26. This gothic tale promises thrills and suspense.
The holiday season will bring joy with “Miracle on 34th Street: The Musical,” presented in partnership with the Capitol Theatre. Running Dec. 11-14 on the Main Stage, this heartwarming story of belief and holiday spirit is sure to delight families.
Next, February will feature Tracy Letts’ Pulitzer Prize-winning drama “August: Osage County.” This gripping exploration of family dynamics will run from Feb. 20-22 on the Capitol Theatre Main Stage.
The season concludes in June with the timeless musical “Fiddler on the Roof.” From June 25-28, audiences can experience this classic tale of tradition and resilience on the Main Stage.
