CARROLL VALLEY – Carroll Valley Borough has declared a temporary ban on all outdoor burning, effective immediately and remaining in place until further notice.
Officials defined open burning as the outdoor combustion of any materials in which products of combustion are emitted directly into the ambient air without passing through a stack or chimney from an enclosed chamber. The prohibition encompasses burn barrels, campfire rings, chimeneas and other similar vessels, as well as recreational or campfires.
Residents are urged to comply with the ban to prevent potential hazards.
