MONT ALTO – The Mont Alto Volunteer Fire Department will host its 50th annual Fireman’s Carnival from Friday, June 13, through Saturday, June 21. The event will take place at the Richard K Sleicher Event Complex, located next to the firehouse at the intersection of S Main and Walnut streets.
This year’s milestone celebration features rides for all ages by Snyder’s Attractions, a variety of food options including homemade soups, carnival games and nightly 25-cent bingo. Live entertainment is scheduled every evening throughout the carnival’s run.
Admission and parking are free. Fireworks are planned for Friday, June 20, at 9:45 p.m., with June 21 set as the rain date.
Pay-one-price ride wristbands, which allow for unlimited rides on the day of purchase, are available daily. On Monday, June 16, Family Night will offer $5 off regular wristband prices. Individual ride tickets also will be available.
The lineup for nightly entertainment includes Derek Heidel on June 13, Hot Fun on June 14, Wallacetown Five on June 15, Bobby D & the Truckstop Burritos on June 16, The Reagan Years on June 17, Great Train Robbery on June 18, The Amish Outlaws on June 19, Dean Crawford & The Dunn’s River Band on June 20 and Chad Laughlin Band on June 21.
