GREENCASTLE – Carl’s Drug Store, recognized as the oldest running independent pharmacy in the United States, will celebrate its 200th anniversary on Friday, Aug. 8. The event, held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 145 N Antrim Way, promises a day of festivities.
The store will offer free historical ornaments with purchases while supplies last, along with door prizes, including a $200 cash grand prize. At noon, highlights include a message from owner Dr. Wayne Myers, a special presentation by state Sen. Doug Mastriano and free ice cream from Scoops for the first 200 guests. Delicious food trucks will also be on site.
This once-in-a-lifetime celebration invites families and friends to join in honoring the pharmacy’s rich history of community service.
