GREENCASTLE – The Franklin County Area Agency on Aging, in partnership with Second Saturdays at the Greencastle Senior Activity Center, is launching a new monthly program called Coffee & Caregivers, beginning May 10.
The initiative aims to serve family caregivers throughout Franklin County by providing a welcoming space to connect, share experiences and receive support. Coffee & Caregivers will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month at the Greencastle Senior Activity Center.
According to organizers, the informal gatherings are designed to offer a relaxed environment where caregivers can meet others in similar situations, ask questions and share stories. The program is intended to support those caring for loved ones by giving them an opportunity to take a break and build connections over a cup of coffee.
Caregivers are also invited to stay for lunch at the center following the meeting. Those wishing to participate in the lunch are asked to RSVP at least two days in advance. Donations for the meal are appreciated but not required.
To RSVP or for more information about Coffee & Caregivers, contact Erica Kershner at (717) 263-2153, ext. 23046, or email [email protected].
The Franklin County Area Agency on Aging encourages all family caregivers in the area to take advantage of this monthly opportunity for support, socialization and self-care.
