CHAMBERSBURG – Students from the Franklin County Career and Technology Center showcased their skills at the recent state FFA competition in State College. Under the guidance of instructors Lisa Cook and Dave Perry, competitors participated in both individual and team events across veterinary assisting and landscaping and horticulture.
Cook led individuals and teams in the veterinary science category, while Perry oversaw competitors in landscaping and horticulture. Both instructors expressed pride in their students’ dedication and performance.
Several students earned top honors, securing first-place finishes and advancing to the National FFA Conference and competition in Indianapolis this fall. Individual winners included McKenna Murphy in veterinary science and Danielle Harold in landscaping and horticulture. Hayden Conner also competed in the individual landscaping and horticulture event.
The veterinary science team, composed of Kyleigh Smith, McKenna Murphy, Emylee Ehmer and Hailey Gingrich Shank, claimed a first-place team title.
