CHAMBERSBURG – The Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter would like to thank participants and sponsors of the Cabin Fever Music Fest which raised $15,000 for the shelter on Feb. 21.
The funds will go to care for the animals in the kennels at CVAS.
Almost 300 people enjoyed music from the Jill Fulton Band, Soleil, the Cameron Molloy Band, the Negley Brothers and Club Medics at the Orchards.
Officials at CVAS were beyond thrilled at the turnout and the donations.
Cameron Schooley, president of the CVAS board of directors, said, “We are incredibly grateful for the major sponsors of the event, F&M Trust, Scott’s Hauling and Excavating and Keystone Ford. We’re so fortunate to have the support of so many people and businesses in this community.”
The musicians donated their time to play for the shelter.
Schooley said, “These folks have real talent, and it’s amazing they’re so willing to help us.”
“We adopted almost 1,000 animals last year,” said Tiffanie Smoyer, executive director of CVAS, “And it’s events like this that allow us to continue to help so many animals. We had a lot of fun at the Cabin Fever Music Fest with the musicians and the crowd. Even our employees and volunteers were able to come and enjoy the evening. Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible.”
