2026 is right around the corner, and there is something happening around the area for everyone. Here is a list of events happening this Wednesday Dec. 31.
Chambersburg:
Zoey Wolfe will be performing live from 7:00pm – 9 p.m. at Waffles and Shine on 109 S. Main St. The Chambersburg native’s acoustic performances have taken the area by storm.
Blast Adult Fun Sports Complex will be hosting their New Year’s Eve Line Dance Party from 6:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. at 821 Lincoln Way West. Put on your cowboy boots and hats and dance your way into the new year.
The American Legion Post 46 will be hosting a New Year’s Eve party from 9 p.m. until midnight. Be aware that this event is for members only and their guests. The legion is located at 755 Philadelphia Ave.
Greencastle:
The Otterbein United Brethren Church will be holding a special New Year’s Eve Celebration Service at their 146 Leitersburg St. location at 6 p.m.
Hagerstown:
The Hub Pub at 49 Eastern Boulevard will be bringing in the New Year with a live performance from local band, Joyride. The “good-time” rock band will take the stage at 8 p.m.
A New Year’s Eve 2026 Party will be held at the Club, Havana, on 901 Dual Highway and will feature music from four local DJ’s, DJ Rello, DJ Blaze, DJ Carlos and DJ Twist. There will be a buffet set up, as well as beverages, including a midnight toast. Doors open at 5 p.m., and there will be a cover charge at the door.
The Courtland Mansion will also be hosting a New Year’s Eve party at 19411 Courtland Drive from 6 p.m. until midnight. There will be food and refreshments served in their vintage ballroom.
The area’s most popular New Year’s event returns for its 12th year; the Krumpe Donut Drop. The event will begin at 5 p.m., and there will be free donuts given to the first 5,000 attendees. There will also be free coffee and hot chocolate provided by AC&T. The crowd will be entertained by music from DJ Sidekick. The event will take place at Meritus Park located at 45 W. Baltimore St.
Mercersburg:
Local rock band, Quick Shift, will be performing live at Colonel Murphy’s Music and Events at 9 p.m. The club is located at 3 S. Main St. for their New Year’s Eve Party event.
Waynesboro:
The annual Boro Blast will be taking place again for the eighth year at the Main Street Park at 25 E. Main St. Every year the community honors one of their local business with the “Annual Small Business Drop,” and this year the company being honored will be D.L George and Sons.
The item being dropped will be a miniature dump truck created by Waynesboro Area High School art teacher Trish Myers, who was assisted by her National Art Society Honor Students. In addition, there will also be the “Balloon Drop and Pop” which will take place at 7 p.m. The event starts at 5 p.m. and will kick off with a live demonstration from champion chainsaw ice carver Danny Kissel. Food will be provided by the Fat Russ’s BBQ Food Truck, and there will be a kids’ activities area at 66 W. Main St., which will include story reading provided by the staff of the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Public Library.
The Waynesboro Moose Lodge 1191 will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Party from 4 until 7:30 p.m. at 908 W. Main St. There will be food and beverages and a live performance from Maryland band, Vinyl Fever.
Triggers Table & Taproom will be teaming up with local rock band 11 Minutes Out to celebrate the new year with the “11 Minutes Out NYE Party.” The band will be taking the stage at 9 p.m., and food and drinks will be provided by the wonderful staff of Trigger’s which is located at 118 Walnut St.
