HAGERSTOWN – Officials of the Washington County Department of Business and Economic Development are reminding residents and visitors of the upcoming 2026 Groundhog Day Celebration, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, 7313 Sharpsburg Pike, Boonsboro.
This annual winter tradition welcomes more than 350 attendees and highlights Washington County’s agricultural community through local food, family-friendly activities and opportunities to shop directly from area farms and value-added agricultural producers.
The evening will feature live acoustic music by Mike Newberry of Wake the Neighbors and More More More, along with children’s activities, product sampling and a warm indoor venue that provides a festive atmosphere and consistent foot traffic.
Community members are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at https://www.washco-md.net/ground-hog-day/.
