MIDDLETOWN – The skies above Harrisburg International Airport roared with excitement Saturday as the Air Dot Show tour made its first-ever stop in Pennsylvania, drawing thousands of spectators for a day of aerial spectacle.
The U.S. Navy’s Blue Angel Flight Demonstration Squadron headlined the event, marking their first appearance in the Harrisburg area in decades. Their precision flying and thunderous maneuvers captivated crowds, young and old alike.
The event also featured a flight demonstration by the Penn State Health “LIFE LION” medevac helicopter, providing a unique look at the region’s emergency response capabilities. Children watched in awe as the helicopter soared and hovered, adding to the day’s excitement.
Amanda Milliron, a local resident, attended with her two young children. “It was just amazing to watch the thrill and excitement in their eyes,” Milliron said. “To have such a wonderful show so close to home, it was well worth the trip.”
The Air Dot Show continued Sunday, offering another day of high-flying entertainment for aviation enthusiasts and families across Central Pennsylvania.
