Residents in Waynesboro stepped outside into the night air, gazing upwards as the total lunar eclipse reached its peak between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. The Moon, now fully immersed in the Earth’s umbral shadow, took on a reddish hue, a phenomenon often referred to as a “Blood Moon.” This spectacle was part of a larger event visible across North and South America, offering a rare opportunity for observers to witness the Moon’s transformation. As she watched, the eclipse’s totality phase lasted approximately one hour, from 2:26 to 3:31 am local time, providing a breathtaking view of celestial alignment.
