FRANKLIN COUNTY – The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center has named longtime staff member Kim Battin as its new program director.
Battin, who has served the riding center for 14 years as stable manager, steps into the leadership role following the retirement of former director Susan Rotz, who also served 14 years.
During her time with the program, Battin has become known for her deep knowledge of the horses and participants, as well as her commitment to the center’s mission of improving lives through therapeutic riding.
“I’m excited to continue serving the program and community in this new chapter,” Battin said. “Our goal is to keep growing, support more families and make an even greater impact.”
The Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center offers adaptive horseback riding lessons and other equine-assisted activities to individuals with physical, emotional and developmental challenges.
Battin can be contacted at [email protected] or 717‑809‑2191 for information about the program or volunteer opportunities.
