The highlight of the evening was the Hot Dog Eating Competition, where participants showcased their eating prowess while spectators cheered on the competitors. WAYNESBORO – Firefighters battled a multi-alarm blaze that engulfed multiple row homes in Waynesboro on Sunday afternoon. The fire broke out around 11 a.m. in the unit block of Philadelphia Avenue, between West Second and West Third streets. First responders found heavy flames spreading through several row homes upon arrival. A second alarm was quickly struck, prompting the closure of nearby roads and the deployment of additional firefighting crews from across Franklin County and neighboring regions in Maryland.
