WAYNESBORO—The 25th annual Greater Waynesboro Chamber of Commerce Business Expo will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School. The free event will offer 50 businesses, nonprofits and civic organizations, plus a free Kidz Zone with bounce house, balloon artist, bowling and McGruff, the Crime Dog. A pancake breakfast sponsored by the Waynesboro Lions Club will kick off the event. Tickets are $6 for adults, $3 for children 5-12. The event is sponsored by WellSpan Health.

WAYNE HEIGHTS—Washington Township Supervisors have advertised for construction bids for a new municipal office facility and plan to open them on March 7. The “U”-shaped, building will consist of mostly wood-framing and metal siding with some concrete is proposed to be constructed on a property located along Buchanan Trail East just west of the Pen-Mar Antique Market. ROUZERVILLE—Washington Township Police have arrested two individuals involved in an incident Saturday. According to police, officers were dispatched to the 14900 block of Buchanan Trail East around 12:50 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, for a reported robbery. Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a victim who had been stabbed and two suspects were reported running from the scene. The victim was transported from the scene to Meritus Medical Center for treatment. WAYNESBORO—Helping students attain real-world exposure to finances was the goal of Financial Literacy Day at Waynesboro Area Senior High School. Ninety-two WASHS seniors participated in the event sponsored by Rotary Club of Waynesboro. The daylong event offered seniors practical exposure to budgets, savings, investments, insurance and many other staples of adulting. Several elected councils over the last few decades have explored the concept of redevelopment at the Southgate Shopping Center.
