HARRISBURG—New funding has been awarded through the Pennsylvania Military Community Enhancement Commission to help make transportation and safety improvements for military installations in Cumberland and Philadelphia counties. “Transportation safety is critical in all walks of life, but particularly when it involves members of our armed forces,” said Gov. Shippensburg men drop hard-fought PSAC semifinal game to IUP NDIANA — The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team lost at No. 3 IUP on Saturday, 52-44, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Semifinal game. Shippensburg (21-9) and IUP (28-2) played within eight points of each other for the entire game. Born and raised in Waynesboro, Small was inspired to attend art school by his high school art teacher, the late Tom McFarland. He began his career as a graphic designer at Griffith & Coe Advertising in Hagerstown, was later promoted to creative director, and eventually became a partner in the firm. Cumberland County: Carlisle Pike HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that work on a 2.21-mile pavement preservation project on Carlisle Pike in Hampden Township and Camp Hill Borough, Cumberland County, is set to begin next week. Weather permitting, the contractor will begin constructing ADA curb ramps within the project limits on Monday, March 7. Work will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
