Enos Yeager Invitational

CHAMBERSBURG- Each year several High School Cross Country teams begin their season at the Enos Yeager Invitational in Chambersburg, PA.  Tradition stayed true this Labor Day weekend on Friday, September 2nd at the Tim Cook Memorial Course.  The WASHS Varsity Boys started things off at 5:15 p.m. with Waynesboro Senior Joey Jacobs claiming the 12th place spot at 13:54..  Junior Noah Bockstie followed close at 18th with a time of 14:18 and Dalton McKean, also a Junior came in just shy of the top 25 at 14:51.

Varsity girls didn’t disappoint with Junior Bella Ruefle hitting the line at 15:57 taking the 4th place spot and Senior Kylie Bere making the top 10 at 16:56.  The Tim Cook Memorial Course offers 2.33 miles of challenging terrain with some difficult hills and rocky passes.

The third race began at 6:15 p.m. with JV Boys who ran great times.  Junior Michael Calo took 5th place at 15:12, Jonathan Helman a sophomore in 10th at 15:25 and Senior Jamison Bowie top 15 at 15:38.

Come out on Tuesday night September 6th to support the Indian and Maiden runners as they compete for a win on Greencastle turf at the GAHS XC course. Full Schedule Here
