HAGERSTOWN, Md. – The Washington County Highway Department has announced the extension of the Bottom Road closure. The road, which runs between the tannery and the railroad crossing, will remain closed through Monday, Sept. 9, 2024. Daily closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes during this period. The department expressed its apologies for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s understanding as they carry out necessary maintenance work .

Hunger Action Month is a national campaign that highlights hunger issues facing communities across the country.
