Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary has awarded five Health Career scholarships to high-school seniors from Waynesboro Area Senior High School and Greencastle-Antrim High School and one Pearle E. Warren Nursing Scholarship to an employee at WellSpan Waynesboro Hospital. The students were selected on the basis of their educational intent, scholastic achievement, general character, service activities and need for financial assistance. The Health Career scholarships will be split between the fall and spring semesters of their freshman year. HARRISBURG- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that a contractor is scheduled to mill ramps on northbound Route 15 in Adams County. This work is part of a 14.8-mile pavement preservation project on northbound Route 15 in Freedom, Cumberland, Mounty Joy and Straban townships. Weather permitting, this work will begin Monday, April 15. The contractor will begin milling the northbound Route 15 off-ramp to Steinwehr Avenue, then work northward through the week to the other ramps within the project limits.
