WAYNESBORO – The Harrisburg Capital District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church convened its 2025 District Conference on Friday and Saturday, Oct.17 and 18, at St. Paul AME Church, drawing pastors, delegates, members and guests from Easton to Waynesboro for spiritual renewal, worship, fellowship and discussions on church polity and progress.
Hosted by St. Paul AME Church at 30 West King St., the event unfolded under the leadership of the Rev. Malcolm Sydnor Sr., pastor of the congregation, which serves as a beacon of faith and community service in the Waynesboro area.
The conference blended sacred and administrative elements, emphasizing the strength, unity and mission of the AME Church across the region. Participants engaged in worship services, keynote sessions and business meetings to advance the denomination’s goals.
A highlight was a special mission project aimed at giving back to the City of Waynesboro. Members and guests collaborated on initiatives to serve and support local residents, underscoring the church’s commitment to faith in action and community care.
