Ms. Liberty came to us in February 2025 after she was found in the morning, abandoned and tied to the shelter’s storage sheds after being left out in the cold overnight. Even though this stocky girl didn’t come to us under the best of circumstances, she has not let that stop her from being a loving, happy pup!
Liberty is one talkative girl who isn’t shy to let you know when she would like to go out on a walk or even just to get some pets. Staff and volunteers always know it is her talking due to how unique she sounds! The only thing Liberty wants in life is plenty of outdoor adventures and some snuggles. Liberty is an endlessly happy girl who loves to sit by her human friends and get all sorts of pets and scratches, and will even fall asleep laying across your feet if she’s really tuckered out and in need of some company.
If you are looking for a pup that enjoys being outside for long walks, and even swimming, Liberty is down for an adventure! This girl LOVES the pool and will do the most adorable rolls and chomps in the water. She is equally as happy to run around the yard with her stuffed toys or go on a nice long walk to get all her zoomies out. Liberty is the biggest fan of stuffed toys, and while she will play with a tennis ball every now and then, she definitely prefers something soft and with a squeaker!
Liberty has been hit-or-miss with other dogs while in our care. She has been in play groups with other dogs and tends to be very bossy with them. If there are any potential dog pals in her forever home, she would do best with a male dog of similar size. Liberty would do best in a home without cats and in a home with older children!
