Pet of the week is…. Phoenix!
This vocal boy came into our care April 2026 after his owner could no longer care for him and is hoping to find his forever home now! Phoenix loves being petted and is a huge fan of having his ears rubbed! He especially enjoys when people scratch at his chin. He doesn’t like being picked up or held, but he is a sweet and cuddly boy regardless and just prefers to keep all four feet secure on something.
Phoenix is a big fan of food and especially loves lickable treats like Churus and catnip! He loves playing with stuffed catnip toys, dangly wand toys, and spring toys the most but this boy isn’t picky! Phoenix also thinks himself quite the hunter and has been seen many times by staff trying to catch flies out of the air by doing ninja flips.
Phoenix is not the best with other cats and would likely do best in a home by himself, as he does get overstimulated easily and often doesn’t understand the difference in playing and bullying. We have not seen him with dogs. He is okay with children who are calm and gentle with him.
Phoenix is 1 year old, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
